How to Get More Feed Power Rotmg

Feed Power: What is it?

Feed Power is a statistic that is features on most items in the game. It represents the amount of points that goes towards a pets abilities when that item is fed to a pet.

Feed Power can be seen at the bottom of most item descriptions.

However, what people tend to overlook is a concept known as Cost Efficiency . Something that you will need to learn to get the most out of your feeding, and minimize wasted feed.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND
The following information is based on MY experience, and may or may not be 100% accurate. If you wish to point something out, please be constructive!

Thank you. Now let us begin.

How to Feed Pets

Feeding pets is a simple process. To do so, you must go into your Pet Yard.

Use this console to feed your pet.

The console will display the current pet, along with it's abilities and the progress towards maxing those abilities.

The feeding cost can be paid off in Realm Gold or Fame. The cost increases with the rarity of the pet.

Realmeye can be used to view the exact amount of Feed Power needed to level up your pets abilities and eventually max them.

What is Feed Efficiency?

Feed Efficiency refers to the term representing the most effective use of specific amounts of feed power, which pertain to the cost of feeding the pet and/or cost of the feed item.
A more simple way of explaining this can be found below.

The Basics of Feed Efficiency

The most basic form of Feed Efficiency can be looked upon as a cost/profit ratio. When you consider feeding an item, take account of the COST to feed that item, as well as the FEED POWER. If you are spending less than the amount of Feed Power, you can consider it a profitable feeding. However, while this works well for commons and uncommons; It's more preferable to use the more advanced Cost/Feed Ratio Formula.

Cost/Feed Ratio Formula

To calculate the Cost/Feed Ratio, you must account for the cost of feeding; And the items feed power. You must also account for any Realm Gold that was spent to purchase the item, if you are feeding bought pet food.

x = ((i+f) + p/c)
Variable i is the cost of the item if it was bought. If it was not bought, the first two variables are ignored.
Variable f represents the Gold Feeding Cost. This is not accounted for if the item was not bought.
Variable p represents the Feed Power . This must be accounted for regardless of if the item is bought or not.
Variable c represents the Feeding Cost . This must still be accounted for even if the item was bought.

Essentially, the first half of the formula is ignored if the item was not purchased. The latter half must always be accounted for.
Here is an example of both variations of the formula in action.

Player A plans to feed a UT with 500 feed power to an uncommon pet. He is NOT using gold to feed.
The first half of the formula is not accounted for because he is not spending gold to feed.
x = p/c
16.6 = 500/30
Player A is achieving a 16.6x feeding efficiency ratio by feeding a 500 FP UT to an uncommon.

Player B plans to feed a Double Cheeseburger Deluxe to a Rare Pet. He has spent gold to purchase the food and plans to spend gold to feed the item as well.
The full formula is utilized because he plans to spend gold to feed and has spent gold on the item.
x = ((i+f) + p/c)
4.79 = ((700+30) + 3,500/730)
Player B is achieving a 4.79x feeding efficiency ratio by feeding a 3,500 FP pet food to a rare. When he has bought the item and fed it with Realm Gold.

NOTICE

The formula is OPTIONAL. You do not need to use it and can just utilize this guide for a general idea, but if you want to be accurate and on-point. I would recommend the formula.

Also, please keep in mind that the calculations being made on this guide are for FEEDING RATIOS ONLY. They do NOT account for the purchase of the item if that's how you obtain your pet foots.

Soft Drink

Soda! Who doesn't love soda? Too bad it gives your pets cavities.
Feed Power: 150

Bought For
20

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x15 Uncommon: x5 Rare: 1.5x

Common: x30 Uncommon: x12.5 Rare: 5x Legendary: x2.5

At first glance, this item looks like it has a very good feed power efficiency. The problem is that while it does have a great ratio when feeding through gold, the feed power it grants is very minimal and doesn't offer much progress when feeding it to anything other than a common. And even then, other better options exist. It is preferable that you do not even bother with this item.

Though, if you do somehow obtain this pet food without paying for it, feed it to a common pet.

Cranberries

Cranberries! The essential treat to all thanksgiving dinners! You either love it or hate it.
Feed Power: 250

Obtained From

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x25 Uncommon: x8.33 Rare: 2.5x

Common: x50 Uncommon: x20.83 Rare: 8.33x Legendary: x4.16

This feeding item is more effective than the Soft Drink, and does not cost any gold to obtain. Making it a free source of feed that can be used for your common pets and early uncommons. However, the feeding item loses it's efficiency when uncommon pets get about halfway to 50/50, consider more potent options by that point.

Fries

French Fries! The favorite side of any fast-food goer. Unfortunately their health value is quite bad.
Feed Power: 300

Bought For
50

Obtained From

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x30 Uncommon: x10 Rare: 3x

Common: x60 Uncommon: x25 Rare: 10x Legendary: x5 Divine: x2

This is the first pet food item that has ANY positive feed ratio when used on a Divine pet if you feed with gold. However the feed power of this item is underwhelming, and only finds adequacy on common or uncommon pets. Since they drop from mystery boxes, they can be common to have.

Ear of Corn

Corn, a very persistent vegetable that is a staple of thanksgiving.
Feed Power: 350

Obtained From

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x35 Uncommon: x11.66 Rare: 3.5x

Common: x70 Uncommon: x29.16 Rare: 11.66x Legendary: x5.83 Divine: x2.33

Like cranberries, this item costs nothing to obtain other than the defeat of a Gobble God. Thus it is fairly easy to obtain, and it's feed power is 100 more than the Cranberries that precede it. It's an effective pet food for commons and fresh uncommons, but should not be used for anything beyond that.

Egg Omelette

Omelettes take what was good about eggs and makes them even better.
Feed Power: 500

Obtained From
???

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x50 Uncommon: x16.66 Rare: 5x Legendary: x1.42

Common: x100 Uncommon: x41.66 Rare: 16.66x Legendary: x8.33 Divine: x3.33

Egg Omelettes used to be quest rewards from the tinkerer. But the reward became nonexistant when the quest that provided them was replaced by scouting quests. It is unknown if you can even obtain this pet food as of now.

It's feed power is quite good, enabling it to be used very well for uncommon feed. It could still be used for commons but this feed is better used on your uncommon pets. I would only recommend this on a rare pet that has only just been fused.

Great Taco

Tacos! One of the greatest foods of all time! I hear the mexican cactus loves these things.
Feed Power: 550

Bought For
100

Obtained From

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x55 Uncommon: x18.33 Rare: 5.5x Legendary: x1.57

Uncommon: x45.83 Rare: 18.33x Legendary: x9.16 Divine: x3.66

The great taco is the closest you can get to an egg omelette in terms of feed efficiency, because of its generous amount of feed it is wonderful for feeding Uncommon Pets.

If you spend gold to feed your pets, this is the first item that i no longer recommend using on common pets.

Sliced Yam

Yams, a very interesting addition to the thanksgiving plate.
Feed Power: 600

Obtained From

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x60 Uncommon: x20 Rare: 6x Legendary: x1.71

Uncommon: x50 Rare: 20x Legendary: x10 Divine: x4

Like other thanksgiving pet foods, this item is desirable. It possesses very good feed power and is a very welcome food for your uncommon pets, one of the best if you happen to be using gold.

Pumpkin Pie

Pumpkin pie is one of the best desserts, and no thanksgiving is the same without them.
Feed Power: 650

Obtained From

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x65 Uncommon: x21.66 Rare: 6.5x Legendary: x1.85

Uncommon: x54.16 Rare: 21.66x Legendary: x10.83 Divine: x4.33

This food has only a minor increase in efficiency over the sliced yams. However it is still an effective food to possess and has the same usefulness if you utilize gold for your feeding costs.

Picante Taco

Woah, mama. This is one spicy taco! Don't burn yourself.
Feed Power: 650

Obtained From

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x65 Uncommon: x21.66 Rare: 6.5x Legendary: x1.85

Uncommon: x54.16 Rare: 21.66x Legendary: x10.83 Divine: x4.33

The Picante Taco is an upgrade to the Great Taco, which was introduced in the 2018 Cinco De Mayo event. Creating this taco required you to bring Hot Sauce and a Great Taco to the Tinkerer.

The Feed Power equals that of Pumpkin Pie, making it a great food for Uncommons. However, as the event does not run constantly it cannot be obtained frequently.

Power Pizza

Pizza! A revolutionary food that also happens to be the favorite of some mutant teenage turtles.
Feed Power: 800

Bought For
150

Obtained From

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Uncommon: x26.66 Rare: 8x Legendary: x2.28

Uncommon: x66.66 Rare: 26.66x Legendary: x13.33 Divine: x5.33

The power pizza is a special case of pet foods, being obtainable not only through purchase and mystery box, but also through a very rare treasure room! If you happen to be fortunate enough in the sewers.

This item has very good feed power, making it very effective for uncommons. I would not recommend feeding it to commons, especially if you get it from a troom.

Chocolate Cream Sandwich Cookie

Ohhh, boy! This thing is delicious! May or may not cause cancer.
Feed Power: 1,300

Bought For
240

Obtained From

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Uncommon: x43.33 Rare: 13x Legendary: x3.71

Rare: 43.33x Legendary: x21.66 Divine: x8.66

The chocolate cream sandwich cookie is, bar none. One of THE best pet foods. It's moderately cheap and possesses a great Feed Efficiency Ratio, making this one of the best foods to use for maxing rares and is even an effective food to use when feeding legendaries.

When using gold this is undeniably one of the best foods in the game, but still outmatched by ambrosia. This is definately a food you want to use frequently.

Napalm Taco

The sauce melts right through metal. I don't think you should put this in your mouth.
Feed Power: 1,350

Obtained From

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Uncommon: x45 Rare: 13.5x Legendary: x3.85

Rare: 45x Legendary: x22.5 Divine: x9

The Atomic Taco is an upgrade to the Great Taco, which was introduced in the 2018 Cinco De Mayo event. Creating this taco required you to bring 2 Hot Sauce and 2 Great Tacos to the Tinkerer.

The Feed Power is slightly higher than a Chocolate Ice Cream Sandwich, making it a perfect food for Rares. However, because the event doesn't run constantly it is not obtained frequently.

Thanksgiving Turkey

The turkey is the centerfold of all thanksgiving dinners. No turkey = no thanksgiving.
Feed Power: 1,621

Obtained From

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Uncommon: x54.03 Rare: 16.21x Legendary: x4.63

Rare: 54.03x Legendary: x27.01 Divine: x10.80

This is the best thanksgiving pet food, and falls into generally the same niche as the cookie. However it does possess a somewhat higher feed, making it more valuable and effective. But the applications are the same.

Grapes of Wrath

Grapes. Everybody loves them! Except dogs, pretty sure it'll kill em.
Feed Power: 1,700

Bought For
330

Obtained From

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Rare: 17x Legendary: x4.85

Rare: 56.66x Legendary: x28.33 Divine: x11.33

Despite having more feed power than the cookie, this food isn't often obtained due to it's higher gold cost. The only time you'd likely get this is from a mystery box, but if you do. You've essentially got yourself a good fame feed item for rare pets.

Superburger

Ahh, the burger. The american classic and responsible for alot of obesity.
Feed Power: 2,300

Bought For
450

Obtained From

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Rare: 23x Legendary: x6.57 Divine: x2.3

Legendary: x38.33 Divine: x15.33

This is the first -really- good feed item apart from the cookie. And the first feed item i would recommend feeding to legendary pets. As it possesses a great feed power that helps alot in upgrading your pets abilities.

I wouldn't recommend this food for uncommons unless you have nothing better to put it into. and would not waste any FP doing so.

Atomic Taco

This taco will char your skin from so much as close proximity.
Feed Power: 2,900

Obtained From

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Rare: 29x Legendary: x8.28 Divine: x2.9

Legendary: x48.33 Divine: x19.33

The Atomic Taco is an upgrade to the Great Taco, which was introduced in the 2018 Cinco De Mayo event. Creating this taco required you to bring 4 Hot Sauce and 4 Great Tacos to the Tinkerer.

The Feed Power is between the Superburger and the Double Cheeseburger Deluxe. As such, it is an excellent Rare Food and a good food for Legendaries. It can also be used for feeding Divines, although you'll get much less effectiveness.

Because the events do not run constantly, these are obtained infrequently.

Double Cheeseburger Deluxe

What happens when you add another patty and smother it in cheese? Twice the obesity!
Feed Power: 3,500

Bought For
700

Obtained From

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Rare: 35x Legendary: x10 Divine: x3.5

Legendary: x58.33 Divine: x23.33

The Double Cheeseburger Deluxe is the second best pet food in the game, possessing a very high feed power and great efficiency ratios for rares and legendary pets. This is a food i could recommend for feeding divines if you really want to, but you would be better off going straight to ambrosia for that.

Due to how expensive this food can be, your often going to obtain this from daily logins or mystery boxes than anything else.

Ambrosia

Ambrosia is the preferred drink of the gods themselves!
Feed Power: 5,000

Bought For
1000

Obtained From

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Rare: x50 Legendary: x14.28 Divine: x5

Legendary: x83.33 Divine: x33.33

The Ambrosia is by far the best pet food in the game, boasting a whopping 5000 feed power. Because of this, it is a pet food that should only be reserved for divine or legendary pets. Since the massive feed efficiency ratio is wasted on pets of lower rarity.

It is worth mentioning that this food IS worth using on rare pets if you are not in possession of the legendary pet yard upgrade.

Due to how expensive this pet food is, most people can obtain it relatively cheaply from mystery boxes, or for free via the login seer. However, some people will buy these in bulk if they have plenty of money to spend. Regardless of how you obtain it, you cannot argue that this food is the key factor in obtaining the ultra rare 100/100/100 divine pet.

Energy Potato

Potatoes can apparantly be used to power supercomputers. Who knew?
Feed Power: 10,000

Obtained From

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Legendary: x28.57 Divine: x10

Divine: x66.66

Energy Potatoes were introduced as part of the January 2018 Mega Pet Box. These potatoes have twice the feed power of Ambrosia, making them extremely effective on Legendary and Divine pets.

It is unknown if these pet foods will make a return.

Reindeer Food

This stuff is full of magic, happiness, and christmas cheer!
Feed Power: 15,000

Obtained From

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Legendary: x42.85 Divine: x15

Divine: x100

Reindeer Food was introduced as part of the Winter Ambrosia Box 2017. This superfood has three times the feed power of Ambrosia, making it the best pet food for legendaries and divines in the game.

It is unknown if these pet foods will make a return.

== TIERED EQUIPMENT ==

For this section i will only be covering T8-13 weapons, T9-14 armors, T5-6 abilities, and T4-5 rings. Apart from T13 weapons and T14 armors, these are the only equipments that can be purchased directly from the nexus. T13 weapons and T14 armors must be obtained via the Lost Halls, but their noticable increases in feed power justify them being listed here.

Unbound rings will not be listed because their feed power is only marginally higher than T5 rings, therefore i have no reason to list them as they can apply to the same general area as exalted rings.

T8 Weapons

Feed Power: 100

Bought For
51

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x10 Uncommon: x3.33

Common: x20 Uncommon: x8.33 Rare: 3.33x Legendary: x1.66

Despite having acceptable efficiency ratios at common level (or uncommon if paying with gold) T8 weapons and anything below easily classifies as the worst feed items to use. The Soft Drink has better use than these items, and costs much less too! You should not even bother feeding these items to your pets unless you just so happen to require 100 or just below 100 feed power to finish maxing your common pet.

T9 Armors

Feed Power: 110

Bought For
48

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x11 Uncommon: x3.66

Common: x22 Uncommon: x9.16 Rare: 3.66x Legendary: x1.83

T9 armors fall into the same category as T8 weapons: Practically useless for feeding pets. They have an ABISMALLY higher feed power which only amounts to slightly increased efficiency ratios. Overall, treat these armors as you would T8 weapons, just don't bother feeding them to a pet unless you happen to need 110 or less feed power to max your common.

T9 Weapons

Feed Power: 145

Bought For
150

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x14.5 Uncommon: x4.83

Common: x29 Uncommon: x12.08 Rare: 4.83x Legendary: x2.91

Although it has somewhat higher feed power than T8 weapons, it is still not recommended to be feeding T9 weapons to pets.

Avoid these unless you need that exact amount of feed power.

T10 Armors

Feed Power: 155

Bought For
100

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x15.5 Uncommon: x5.16

Common: x31 Uncommon: x12.91 Rare: 5.16x Legendary: x2.58

Similarly to the correlation of T9 armors with T8 weapons, the difference in feed power is very minute and the same recommendations apply. Don't bother feeding these unless you need that exact amount of feed.

T10 Weapons

Feed Power: 212

Bought For
225

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x21.2 Uncommon: x7.06

Common: x42.4 Uncommon: x17.66 Rare: 7.06x Legendary: x3.53

T10 Weapons are the first tier of weapon that i would recommend feeding to common pets. As their feed power is identical to some low-value UT rings and can make maxing a common quick and easy.

T11 Armors

Feed Power: 218

Bought For
213

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x21.8 Uncommon: x7.26

Common: x43.6 Uncommon: x18.16 Rare: 7.26x Legendary: x3.63

T11 Weapons are the first tier of armor that i would recommend feeding to common pets. As their feed power is identical to some low-value UT rings and can make maxing a common quick and easy.

T11 Weapons

Feed Power: 310

Bought For
450

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x31 Uncommon: x10.33

Common: x62 Uncommon: x25.83 Rare: 10.33x Legendary: x5.16

T11 Weapons are an even more effective method of feeding common pets and can even be used efficiently on uncommon pets. It's definitely worth holding onto these for those reasons.

T12 Armors

Feed Power: 308

Bought For
403

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x30.8 Uncommon: x10.26

Common: x61.6 Uncommon: x25.66 Rare: 10.26x Legendary: x5.13

T12 Armors possess great feed power for Common Pets and adequate feed power for uncommons.
However, it is recommended to sell these armors for DEF pots instead of feeding them.

T12 Weapons

Feed Power: 450

Bought For
855 = Acclaim 522 = Recomp 855 = Cosmic
617 = Foul 665 = Masamune 570 = Covert

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x45 Uncommon: x15 Rare: x4.5

Common: x90 Uncommon: x37.5 Rare: 15x Legendary: x7.5

T12 Weapons have excellent feeding power for commons and uncommons. They can also be used to feed rares, however i would recommend you sell these weapons for Pots instead of feeding them.

T13 Armors

Feed Power: 435

Bought For
800 = Hydra 850 = Gsorc 850 = Acrop

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x43.5 Uncommon: x14.5

Common: x87 Uncommon: x36.25 Rare: 14.5x Legendary: x7.25

T13 Armors possess great feed power for Common Pets and adequate feed power for uncommons.
However, it is recommended to sell these armors for Pots instead of feeding them.

T13 Weapons

Feed Power: 650

Obtained From

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x65 Uncommon: x21.66 Rare: x6.5

Uncommon: x54.16 Rare: 21.66x Legendary: x10.83

T13 Weapons are very rare and valuable items only obtainable from the Lost Halls. Because of their rarity, i would not recommend feeding them unless you genuinely do not need it. If you do decide to feed it, it has power equalling many UTs.

T14 Armors

Feed Power: 650

Obtained From

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x65 Uncommon: x21.66 Rare: x6.5

Uncommon: x54.16 Rare: 21.66x Legendary: x10.83

T14 Armors are very rare and valuable items only obtainable from the Lost Halls. Because of their rarity, i would not recommend feeding them unless you genuinely do not need it. If you do decide to feed it, it has power equalling many UTs.

T5 Abilities

Feed Power: 185

Bought For
175

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x18.5 Uncommon: x6.16

Common: x37 Uncommon: x15.41 Rare: 6.16x Legendary: x3.08

T5 Abilities are slightly less effective than Tier 10 Weapons, so the feeding guidelines for those items apply here. However, it would be wise to sell these for pots.

T6 Abilities

Feed Power: 380

Bought For
400

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x38 Uncommon: x12.66

Common: x76 Uncommon: x31.66 Rare: 12.66x Legendary: x6.33

T6 Abilities are more potent than T11 Weapons, and make effective feed for Commons and Uncommons. However, it would be wise to sell these for pots.

T4 Rings

Feed Power: 150

Bought For
100 = ATT/SPD/VIT/WIS/DEX 250 = HP/MP/DEF

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x15 Uncommon: x5

Common: x30 Uncommon: x12.5 Rare: x5 Legendary: x2.5

T4 Rings do not have impressive feed power, and should only be fed if you need exactly or a little less than 150 feed power.

T5 Rings

Feed Power: 300

Bought For
200 = ATT/SPD/VIT/WIS/DEX 400 = HP/MP/DEF

Feed Power Efficiency Ratio

Common: x30 Uncommon: x10

Common: x60 Uncommon: x25 Rare: x10 Legendary: x5

T5 Rings have impressive feed power that is good for commons and uncommons. In the case of HP and MP rings, you are better off selling for pots. But otherwise they are good for feeding.
